Marriage is wonderful that’s the truth, but at times it can be as appealing as a laundry basket full of dirty clothes, broken toys, broken crayons, and unpaired socks. You have to be crazy, really passionately crazy, to want to ride it out till the end and based on my experience, the ways to keep your marriage strong are the little things that you do on a daily basis and not the expensive dates nor the gigantic baubles that your partner surprises you with.
Expo Mom is finally coming to Cebu! I’ve heard so many good things about Expo Mom from fellow blogger moms in the metro and I have been wanting to attend one for some time now but unfortunately, they are usually held in Metro Manila. But it’s gonna happen in Cebu this year!
Dubbed as a “mompreneur market”, Expo Mom #TeamMom will not only bring in the most modern mommy and baby products and services to the City, it will also be a wellspring of parenting trends, mommy solutions, and inspiring advocacies. I am so excited!
I am a C-Section mom and a proud one at that. I have no qualms about my scar and have no regrets giving birth to both my kids via Cesarean Section.
But let me be honest here, there are days when I wish my c-section scar wasn’t too long! Or bumpy! LOL
I delivered my son via an emergency CS due to Oligohydramnios and had a classical vertical uterine incision. The incision starts at about 2 inches below my navel which was fine with me because it’s not like I had a choice, right? I was knocked out and I’m pretty sure the OB wouldn’t have listened to me if I gave instructions regarding the length of my scar had I been awake. 😉
Summer can be especially hard for working moms.
For me? This is when the guilt goes on overdrive because you want them to have the best summer ever but you have to go to work because there are bills to pay, and people at home do not stop eating just because it’s summer.
At home, I am mommy, household manager, school projects reminder, advocate of regular brushing of teeth and financial adviser to small children.
40’s. Dang, can’t believe I’m writing a post about how to take care of your face when your nearing your 40’s. Ekk! Sounds more bad-ass if I say I’m almost at Level 40, right? But no complaints! 40 is the new 20!
My goal now is to make sure that I grow old gracefully (read: not just suddenly wilt and die) which is why I’m putting extra effort in taking care of my health. I started going to the gym last year (that’s on pause by the way), do yoga whenever I can at home (which means almost never) and eating healthy.
Whoever thought that a mother would have to think of ways to make drinking milk fun for the kids? Who doesn’t love milk? Uhmm, my children, apparently.
If you have kids like mine who have developed a strong aversion to anything not chocolate, milk time can be a test of patience. My kids would prefer chocolate malt drinks anytime and whenever I serve them regular milk, they either say no or they don’t finish it.
To keep the love alive in marriage requires dedication and a lot of patience. It isn’t always easy. If someone told you otherwise, they are either not telling the whole truth or still dreaming in cloud nine.
My husband and I are celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary in 5 months and I have to say that I am mighty proud that we have weathered the storms that came our way through the years. We went on a trip to hell and back but here we are, stronger and still crazy about each other.
