So lucky to be one of the few who received Althea’s A’bloom collection just as they were launched on the website. I love Korean skin care products, I find them more suitable for my skin compared to US made products. Could it be because Kbeauty products were made especially for Asian skin? Most probably! With all the buzz about Althea’s latest collection, are they worth the hype? Let’s talk!
As a 40-year-old woman, I am more into skin care products than make-up. I believe that if you have good skin, there’s really no need to wear a lot of makeup other than just for fun! Unfortunately, I am not one of those who were born with great skin. I had so many skin problems growing up!
I remember having very oily skin when I was in high school. Not only that, my forehead was filled with pimples! Ugh! Needless to say, I was very insecure! Thankfully, the pimples cleared up when I reached college but I’ve always had very oily skin.
I have noticed though that ever since I reached my 30’s, my face has become a combination of oily and super dry skin. My T-zone is still very oily but the lower portion of my skin is very dry. Ugh. The problem never stops, does it?
Thankfully, ever since I became and Althea Angel, I got to try different types of skin care products that have helped me with these problems and one of them is A’bloom collection.
Let’s talk about them one by one, shall we?
Althea’s A’bloom Collection
First on the list are the A’blooms Sheet Masks.
OMG, they have different varieties that target different types of skin problems.
Water-Me-Long Moisturizing Sheet Mask – This one is great for super dry skin. It is infused with trelahose, lavender and watermelon extracts that help prevent dry flakes from forming. Super great to use after each time you exfoliate!
Avo-Cuddle-Me Sheet Mask – Seriously, whoever is in-charge of naming the Althea products deserve a raise! Okay, going back, this is perfect for me because it has anti-aging and antioxidants ingredients like avocados and hibiscus flowers. This will also give your skin a coat of moisturizing layer giving your skin a hydrating boost for a long time after each use.
Ac-Me-Peach Sheet Mask – This one is especially great for those with trouble spots because it has tea tree extracts which can help clarify the skin and minimizes the appearance of large pores.
Sparkle-Me-Bright Sheet Mask– If you have dull and tired looking complexion then you will benefit this one. In my humble opinion, every mother in the universe should have a stash of Sparkle-Me-Bright because, hello, we all look tired all the time. Ha! This one has Vitamin C, green tea and niacinamide to revitalize dull-looking skin.
Now that we’ve talked about the masks, let’s proceed to my favorite, A’bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster. This by far is my favorite. It takes out the gunk from your pores easily. I dislike using pore strips so this one is perfect for me. When I learned about the A’bloom line, this is the one that I looked forward to the most. This natural BHA stick is gentle on the skin and actually prevents new black heads from forming! Prevention is key, people! No more painful blackheads removal! It simply sweeps away impurities from your pores. It’s also very easy to use!
Just clean your face as how you normally would then apply it on targeted areas with excessive sebum. Mine is the area around my nose but what’s good about this is that you can apply it all over your face if need and you can also use this as a body scrub on elbows, knees or heels! How awesome is that?!
Lastly, I want to talk about the cutest duo in this line. The Baby Meringue Puffs. Right now, I am using a generic sponge puff for my entire face but it can be hard to apply my foundation or BB cream on some areas like under my eyes and the sides of my nose. I always miss spots! The Baby Meringue Puff comes in two sizes for easy and even application. Plus, their so squishy soft! And just look at the cuteness! They look good enough to eat! The latex free puff is also perfect in achieving streak-free strokes for even and natural-looking coverage and because they are latex-free and uses non-toxic materials, these babies are safe even on the most sensitive skin!
I love, love, love the A’bloom line but the A’bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster is definitely a favorite! Which one have you tried? Let me know in the comments!
Thank you, Althea, for sending these over!

Ang cute ng packaging plus Im sure na magiging effective talaga yan.
Haven’t tried any but the blackhead blaster too is a must have 😊 i have trouble wd blackheads and oily skin pero just like you oily skin lang prob ko growing up esp sa probinsya na expose lagi sa labas. When I went here in Manila, diko pa prob ang blackheads but one time someone asked me to try diamond peel and mula nun open na pores ko reason kaya lagi n may clogged pores.
As we age need talaga natin focus sa skincare and glad there’s Althea noh, amazing products nila everytime may bago😊 Cute ng masks and looks hydrating, fluffy naman si puff blender and looks promising to use si blaster .
