I’m excited to share with you my honest review of the dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser that I received from Jyl Johnson Pattee, a doTERRA Wellness Advocate here in the Philippines! I received this tiny but oh, so powerful diffuser last December (along with other amazing dōTERRA products, which I will talk about in a different post!) and have been using it since then. After several weeks of trying it out, I am now ready to share my honest review.
Before anything else, I want you to know that you can get free dōTERRA samples and free wellness consult by visiting Jyl’s site!
Now, on to the review. Let’s talk about the basics first.
What’s a dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser?
The dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser is a handy essential oil diffuser with a compact design to make it easier for anyone to enjoy the benefits of diffusing essential oils wherever they go. It fits most vehicle cup holders so you can enjoy your favorite essential oil blends wherever you are travelling to, and it’s super handy so you can bring it to your workplace to transform your cubicle or work desk (or wherever work is) into a place of zen.
The dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser comes with a USB and works with a power bank, car outlet, or a laptop/computer. You can also plug it into wall outlet with an adapter. You can set it to run continuously or intermittently (20 seconds on/20 seconds off) with a simple push of a button. You can also choose between the High Mist or Low Mist modes. Works pretty much like any diffuser.
It has a sleek design with gray color that I love and oh, so easy to clean!
What I love about the dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser
The fact that it’s so handy and easy to use totally won me over. If you have been following me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen me post a lot about diffusing essential oils. I run my humidifier/diffuser almost on a daily basis because aside from the fact that the air in our area can be a bit dry, I am paranoid about dengue. Aside from using insect repellents on my kids, I use peppermint or eucalyptus essential oils in the morning and evening (Aedes aegypti bite during the day; early morning and late afternoons) to help drive away mosquitoes.
I also like to diffuse lemon oil while I’m cleaning/doing house chores and then lavender or peppermint oil at bedtime. So you see? I love diffusing a lot and the dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser came just in time before my family and I went to stay at my in-laws’ house for the entire Christmas vacation. My diffuser at home is huge and although I was worried about not being able diffuse during our stay at the kids’ grandparents, I did not want to lug my humongous diffuser all the way there.
The dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser came at a perfect time and this mom was happy the entire holiday season.
What I don’t like about it?
Not a lot really, it does what it’s supposed to do as a portable diffuser. I do wish it came with an adapter for the wall socket because an adapter in our house is considered a prized possession and we fight over it. LOL I also wished it had a longer USB wire. Aside from those? I love the dōTERRA Roam Portable Diffuser. It now sits on my son’s study table, his room is smaller compared to ours so it’s perfect for him for when he is studying.

Oh my gosh, so lucky you! I love these EO’s but they’re seriously an investment. I did get my second kit at no cost, but I really believe in it.
True! They don’t come cheap but we get what we pay for. 😉 I swear by lemon oil and peppermint! It’s my go-to blend. It helped my daughter (and me!) when the flu did its rounds over here.
If I remember correctly, you influenced me to start using EOs! I saw your post a long time ago and convinced my husband to get me a diffuser. I’ve been a convert ever since! LOL
Hi Jhanis, I’m really curious about this diffuser. Do you need to plug it in while it’s running or is it chargeable so you can use it without a plug? Thanks!
