My husband and I work full-time, he works at night while I work from 2 pm to 11 pm (most of the time). Between that, two school kids and house chores, we run a pretty tight schedule everyday. I prep the kids and take them to school in the morning and he picks them up in the afternoon. He also helps them with their homework as soon as they get home. I’m just thankful that my mom helps us out to make sure the kids have a warm dinner on the table everyday. They are usually fast asleep by the time I get home from work so I just clean up a little before heading to bed. Not long after, my husband wakes up to get ready for work.
I know that most people who are living from paycheck to paycheck are looking for ways how to earn extra money. I am too. I am looking forward to that day when I no longer have to look at the price on the menu before deciding whether I’m hungry or not.
We all want to get out of the rut. To live comfortably without having to worry if this month’s paycheck will be enough before the next one arrives but before you can get out of something, you must survive it first. 😉
I am a C-Section mom and a proud one at that. I have no qualms about my scar and have no regrets giving birth to both my kids via Cesarean Section.
But let me be honest here, there are days when I wish my c-section scar wasn’t too long! Or bumpy! LOL
I delivered my son via an emergency CS due to Oligohydramnios and had a classical vertical uterine incision. The incision starts at about 2 inches below my navel which was fine with me because it’s not like I had a choice, right? I was knocked out and I’m pretty sure the OB wouldn’t have listened to me if I gave instructions regarding the length of my scar had I been awake. 😉
Summer can be especially hard for working moms.
For me? This is when the guilt goes on overdrive because you want them to have the best summer ever but you have to go to work because there are bills to pay, and people at home do not stop eating just because it’s summer.
At home, I am mommy, household manager, school projects reminder, advocate of regular brushing of teeth and financial adviser to small children.
40’s. Dang, can’t believe I’m writing a post about how to take care of your face when your nearing your 40’s. Ekk! Sounds more bad-ass if I say I’m almost at Level 40, right? But no complaints! 40 is the new 20!
My goal now is to make sure that I grow old gracefully (read: not just suddenly wilt and die) which is why I’m putting extra effort in taking care of my health. I started going to the gym last year (that’s on pause by the way), do yoga whenever I can at home (which means almost never) and eating healthy.
Whoever thought that a mother would have to think of ways to make drinking milk fun for the kids? Who doesn’t love milk? Uhmm, my children, apparently.
If you have kids like mine who have developed a strong aversion to anything not chocolate, milk time can be a test of patience. My kids would prefer chocolate malt drinks anytime and whenever I serve them regular milk, they either say no or they don’t finish it.
Summer is finally here! I have listed down several available summer classes in Cebu because I am pretty sure that a lot of moms are already busy looking for activities that their kids can enjoy this season.
With about 2 months of no school, summer is a great time to introduce new things to the kids. Not only to help them find their real interests in life but it is also an opportunity for us parents to help them find activities that can help develop their social, motor and cognitive skills.
