2018 was a bit rough for me and my family. With mom’s diagnosis in February and losing her to Cancer last August, our lives were turned up-side down in the most unimaginable way. We are still reeling from the roller-coaster of emotions and everything else the experience brought upon us but with God’s grace, we are slowly getting back up.
I’m just glad that I have a very supportive husband and understanding kids because they have been my support system and they make moving on easier to do. I know that this is what my mom would have wanted me to do; to be strong and still see the beauty of life in spite and despite of her being gone.
If there is one thing that I learned from mom’s passing, it would be to live a more meaningful life with people who matter the most and that’s exactly what I’m working on right now. Life is too short to worry about the things that are beyond our control. With this, I’m slowly letting go of things that do not necessarily bring me happiness and pursue those that fulfill me as a person.
My 2019 goals include being there for my children more because I would want them to, one day, look back and remember how I was there for them while they were growing up. Filling our memory bank with love, belongingness, and joy every single day because I believe that this is what will help mold them into positive individuals in the future. More importantly, simply being with them brings me the truest form of happiness.
Worry-Free Days with Joy
This is why I appreciate products and tools that do the hard work for me at home so I can spend more time with my family. For #ZeroWorries in the kitchen, I have found a partner in Joy in making sure that I don’t spend more time fighting grease in the kitchen so I can have more quality time with my husband and kids. No other dishwashing liquid helps me finish the chore as fast. I don’t have to do hard labor when washing pots and pans too because Joy helps cut washing time with me hardly ever needing to scrub them.
With its best ever concentrated formula, a tiny drop goes a long way! I’m able to wash the dishes, pots, and pans with less effort which not only helps cut time in the kitchen but also helps me save money.

I especially like using Joy on frying pans. Burnt food particles have the tendency to stick to the pan making it very hard to clean, like Tocino! What I do is I put a cup of water and a few drops of Joy onto the pan and pop it on the stove for 2-3 minutes over low heat then wash as usual. This helps remove grime and grease with no problem and leaves the pan smelling fresh too!
I also rely on Joy when washing the kids’ lunch boxes because for me, nothing cleans plastic wares better than Joy! Its zero-sebo cleaning power makes it easy to remove the grease and the malansang amoy from baon boxes. I just rinse the lunch box, add a couple of drops of Joy, let it sit for a minute or two, then wash as usual. Easy-peasy. Grease-free and fresh smelling lunch boxes ready for the next day. No need to wash-rinse-repeat!
With Joy’s best-ever cleaning power, daily chores such as doing the dishes is now a breeze which means more family days with zero-worries. I get to have more fun and quality time with the people who matter the most.
How about you? How do you ensure worry-free days?

Aw, so glad you have your family help you get through the loss of your mother. Truly once again sorry for your loss and many hugs. Oh and I use Joy, too in my kitchen.
Hello fellow Joy Mom! Thanks, Janine!
At napakalambot pa sa kamay after maghugas.. May bonding pa ako with my kids..
I love making house chores into bonding time with the kids! Chika time for my kids and I! Thanks Mommy Angelie!
Yes I worry free too because of Joy,.
Galing diba? Thank you!
Yan din po ang gamit namin. Super tipid.
So true! Yung isang bottle namin tagal ma ubos. I dilute it with water kse concentrated naman. Thank you mommy Cris!
What a terrific blog post and those photos are perfect! I’ll have to buy some now! Great job!
nice Mommy☺️ Ako din i want someday present ang memories nila with me being always there when they will look back sa past. Ang that stubborn Tocino too hehhe hirap nyan tanggalin.
I am inspired even more while reading this blog . I am sahm with 3 kids and wala talagang yaya, never had.Leaving the world where I used to earn is something i don’t actually miss but the fact that i am earning makes me think
and worry now that I don’t earn at home. I used to write few articles in a specific website but stopped for some reasons- low income, no time for the eldest thus affects behaviour. I realized that kids are important than anything. I do task at home and now having 3 means more mess inside our home. What’s challenging is i have to attend siblings war, tantrums and still fulfill my duty as a mom . House chores can be time consuming esp taking care of the tantamount laundry and of course the dishes. I only use Joy sachet because it is cheaper and available in the nearest sari sari store. What i do is transfer to an empty container and just ISANG PATAK and that’s enough. Challenging part is cleaning dishes with oily and tough stains and am glad Joy is helping me out. I encourage my kids too with some home chores so instead of refusing them to help, i let them . My toddler usually help me on the dishes. She likes scrubbing the sponge with Joy on greasy plates and see the magic right after. No grease at all! Kuya does his task; cleaning the sala, fixing his bed and siblings too while bunso pick up some trash and place it in the garbage bin. Now, i have more time with them playing and storytelling is their favourite bonding at noon time /nap time. Managing house chores is important so we can spare more time with our children ❤️ Indeed, #zeroworries Mama here

OMG I was so touched reading your comment. I felt every word! Hirap talaga maging mommy, dami mong iisipin. Buti nalang for products like Joy na mas napapadali yung chores. I am also transitioning to SAHM this May. Scary and exciting at the same time. Scary kse less income for our family but exciting because I can spend more time with the kids. Fingers crossed, everything will fall into place. Kaya nating to mommy! <3
Congratulations Mommy , worth it lahat yan 😘
Glad you have your blog para if you can be occupied too by writing kapag free time mo at done with kids. Ako, I read blogs naman to get motivations , inspirations, learnings and more. Thanks po😊
I lost my mom too to cancer 1 month after she was diagnosed, I am pregnant with my eldest then (2006). It was really tough for me, I am so depressed that I had my daughter 6 weeks before my due date. But because of my family, the support and love of my husband, we made it through and somehow… moved on. Because of my mom’s sudden passing, I made a promise to myself that I will always make my children, my family feel and hear how much I love them… I see to it that every day even if I am so tired from work I’ll spend quality time with them, and remind them how much I love them very very much.
Because I am a working mom, time is really of the essence… I always have to hurry things up when I get home so I could be with my family relaxing, chilling, playing and having a bonding time together. Joy makes things easier in the kitchen, lalu na kapag ‘Ang Probinsyano’ na, naku kailngan kong bilisan. With JOY no repeat repeat, one wash is all it takes alis lahat ang sebo at malalansang amoy (especially kapag paksiw ang niluto ko) plus napaka bango pa kaya naman napaka panatag ko na all my dishes are clean and grease free, Zero Worries dahil Zero Sebo at Zero Langsa… nut MoRe MoRE time sa family. ❤️❤️❤️
Hugs mommy Narissa. I feel you. So sorry to hear about your mom but I came upon the same realizations as yours when I lost my mom. Family is really important talaga and we should exert effort to tell them and let them see we love them.
HAhahaha! Thank you! <3
Dapat talaga turuan kse life skill yung house chores. I salute you mommy EmCel, I know how challenging being a single mom can be. My mom was a single parent and I saw how much she sacrificed for me. Kudos po. God bless!
