As an Althea Angel, I usually get first dibs on new Korean skin care and make up products as soon as they are launched on the Althea Shop and the latest that I received were the newly released Althea Exclusive makeup line. When I saw the BCL x Althea Sunrise & Moonrise Eye Palette, OMG, I just knew that I had to come up with a Mother-Daughter Unicorn Makeup Idea blog post!
Just look at these colors! Magical!
Good thing that we had a long weekend so China and I had an extra day to make our Unicorn dreams come true! This would be a perfect bonding activity with your unicorn crazy daughters! I also think this would make a great unicorn-themed birthday party activity! I have a list of unicorn gift ideas over here if you need suggestions.
Unfortunately, I found out that my daughter deconstructed the unicorn headband that I bought for her (eye-roll) so I had to come up with something else. Good thing I found Abby’s unicorn hair tutorial, I think it turned out pretty well, don’t you think?
Mother-Daughter Unicorn Makeup Idea – A Magical Afternoon
We had so much fun playing with the palette. This isn’t really a tutorial because if you know me personally, I am more into skin care products than makeup because to be honest, I don’t think I have the talent for it. LOL We just played with it until we were happy with our looks.
You won’t have a problem achieving a magical unicorn look with the Sunrise and Moonrise palette because everything is so glittery and shiny! Such pretty colors! Although it really is an eye shadow palette, we used it as a blush, highlight and eyeshadow. It’s so pigmented and super blendable! We even used it as a lipstick! We just applied a clear lip gloss then dabbed some pink and gold colors to make our lips shine.
Look at that DIVA! LOL
If you ask me if she enjoyed our mother-daughter unicorn bonding? I’ll let the pictures talk…
Yep. I think this almost 8 year old girl’s dream of becoming a unicorn came true for a day.
It’s her birthday on March 1st and we’re having a unicorn themed party and I think her friends will enjoy it because I’m planning to turn all of them into unicorns at the party! 😉
What do you think?
Here are the rest of the Althea Makeup products that we received.

Aw, Happy 8th Birthday to your girl!! And love, love, love the unicorn makeovers here. I have two unicorn obsessed daughters, too. So, I definitely going to keep this idea in mind for them now, too 🙂
